As the Government of India has released the 14th instalment of payment under the PM Kisan Yojana scheme for small and marginal farmers, a guide to how the beneficiaries can check their payment status online.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, also known as PM Kisan Yojana or PM-Kisan is the Government of India’s welfare scheme launched on 24 February 2019 for Indian farmers. The project aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers nationwide by directly transferring funds into their bank accounts. This direct income raises their income and supports their agricultural expenses (including fertilizers) and livelihoods to improve their economic conditions.

Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive a fixed amount of ₹6,000 per year in three equal instalments. The Government released the 14th instalment under the scheme on 27 July 2023. To obtain the amount, the beneficiary farmer enrols for the plan by approaching the local patwari, revenue officer or Nodal Officer (PM-Kisan) nominated by the State Government. They also must submit documents such as their Aadhar Card, land record, bank account details, passbook, passport-size photo and mobile number.
