Choose a Bank
First, you need to choose a bank where you want to open your account.
Visit the Bank
Once you choose a bank, you need to visit that bank. There are various branches of the same branch. Look for the one in your area so it is convenient for you.
Meet the Banker
In the bank branch, you will meet a special person called a "banker" who will help you with your questions. The banker will assist you in opening a bank account.
Fill a Form
The banker will give you a special form to fill out. You need to write your name, age, address, and some other details.
Give necessary Documents
The banker will ask you to give some important documents. These documents show who you are, your age, and where you live. Documents like your birth certificate, Aadhaar card, or passport can be used.
Deposit Money
After filling out the form and giving the documents, once your account has opened, you can deposit money in it.
Get a Passbook or Debit Card
Once your account has opened, you either get a passbook or a card. The passbook is a small book that shows how much money you have in your account. A debit card can be used for various things like an ATM card that you can use to take out money from the bank's machine called an ATM (Any Time Money). The money gets debited or removed from your account immediately.
Opening a bank account is a great way to learn about money and how to manage it wisely.
